What is a zine?
A zine refers to a compilation of unofficial fanworks, usually comprising artworks and fiction. It’s similar to a book or a miniature magazine.
What is the zine’s theme?
This zine will be a HQ cookbook zine revolving around the themes of Haikyuu characters/teams and food! It will be a compilation of art, fics and recipes!
The zine will be split into four main sections, covering the four teams: Karasuno, Nekoma, Fukurodani, Aoba Johsai. For every section, there will be 1 team spread, 5 recipes with accompanying art, and 1 fic.
All foods will be Asian themed, which means they can be inspired by ingredients that originated from Asia, or cuisines with characteristic styles of cooking practices and traditions usually associated with a specific culture. Asian cuisine includes several major regional cuisines: Central Asian, East Asian, North Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and West Asian.

What are the expectations for contributors?
Chefs will be expected to create four (4) recipes each for the zine. Each recipe is expected to represent a different team — Karasuno, Nekoma, Fukurodani and Aoba Johsai — in some aspect. Chefs will be expected to pitch recipe concepts before the creation period begins.
Artists will be expected to create one (1) full page illustration for the zine to accompany the recipe they are assigned to or two (2) spot illustrations to accompany two (2) fics they are assigned to. It should feature both the food and also character(s) from the team.
Merch Artists will be expected to create several pieces of merch. Specifics will be determined after the interest check.
Writers will be expected to create one (1) fic for the zine according to the team they have been assigned. Specifics will be determined after the interest check.
How will contributors be compensated?
We aim to provide all contributors with a full bundle of the zine, inclusive of the zine itself, all available merch items, stretch goals and shipping. Funds will mainly go towards production and shipping. The remaining funds will be evenly distributed among the mods and all contributors.
